POSITION OVERVIEW

It is the Press Operators responsibility to setup, operate and maintain the flexographic printing press:

  • This starts with receiving a work order for production
  • Scan entire order for the necessary tools, materials, plates and inks for the specified product
  • Once the press is setup operator will run the press for the desired product amount as specified on work order
  • After the run is complete the cleanup of the press begins to prepare for the next work order, while maintaining the equipment to be in proper working fashion

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Setup, operate and maintain press

  • Quality Control (e.g. die and plate impressions along with die to print and print to print registrations)

  • Knowledge of various materials (e.g. raw materials and laminates)

  • Knowledge of ink color matching

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in a production related environment

  • Attention to detail

  • Machine troubleshooting experience

  • High school education or equivalent
